الطاقة الحركية الصيغة (KE = ½mv²): مجاني Calculator & Examples

احسب kinetic energy with KE = ½mv², convert km/h safely, and rearrange for mass or speed. Verify with a free kinetic energy calculator.

What الطاقة الحركية Means

Kinetic energy is the energy an object has because it is moving. In school mechanics, the usual formula is KE = ½ m v². الكتلة enters once; speed enters squared, so doubling the speed roughly quadruples the kinetic energy when mass stays fixed.

That squared speed is why homework answers swing so much when velocity units are wrong. حوّل to metres per second and kilograms before you multiply, then report joules.

If you already have mass and speed and only need a checked number, open the free kinetic energy calculator first, then return here for unit traps and worked examples.

The الصيغة KE = ½mv²

For a single particle or rigid body treated as a point mass:

  • KE = ½ m v² — kinetic energy in joules (J) when m is in kg and v is in m/s.
  • m = 2 KE / v² — rearrange when energy and speed are known.
  • v = √(2 KE / m) — rearrange when energy and mass are known (take the positive root for speed).
  • Rotational kinetic energy ½ I ω² belongs to a different model. Use the linear form unless the question clearly asks for spinning energy about an axis.

    Units That Keep Marks Safe

    SI defaults for most worksheets:

  • الكتلة m → kilograms (kg). حوّل grams: divide by 1000.
  • Speed v → metres per second (m/s). From km/h, divide by 3.6.
  • الطاقة KE → joules (J). 1 kJ = 1000 J.
  • Example trap: a car at 72 km/h is 20 m/s, not 72 m/s. Leaving km/h in the formula inflates KE by more than an order of magnitude because of the square.

    الشغلed Examples

    Example 1: 2.0 kg at 3.0 m/s

    KE = ½ (2.0)(3.0)² = ½ (2.0)(9.0) = 9.0 J. Rough check: ½ × 2 × 9 = 9.

    Example 2: find speed from 50 J

    A 4.0 kg object has KE = 50 J. v = √(2 × 50 / 4.0) = √(25) = 5.0 m/s. Check: ½ (4)(25) = 50 J.

    Example 3: km/h conversion

    A 0.50 kg ball moves at 36 km/h. First v = 36 / 3.6 = 10 m/s. KE = ½ (0.50)(10)² = 25 J. Skipping the conversion would wrongly use 36².

    الطاقة الحركية vs طاقة الوضع

Kinetic energy depends on motion (speed). Gravitational potential energy near Earth depends on height: PE = m g h. A falling object converts PE into KE if other losses are ignored — but you still compute each formula with its own variables.

For height-based energy, see how to calculate potential energy and the matching PE calculator.

    أخطاء شائعة

  • Leaving speed in km/h or cm/s while mass is in kilograms.
  • Forgetting the ½ factor and writing m v².
  • Using velocity squared incorrectly as (½ m v)².
  • Mixing mass in grams with a joule answer without converting.
  • Sanity check: everyday walking speeds for a few kilograms of mass usually give tens of joules, not megajoules.
